Part-Time Teaching Assistant for September 2022

 

Wincle Church of England Primary School is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our hard-working team. We require a creative and highly motivated person to support a child with special educational needs.

We are a small, rural primary school set in the idyllic Peak District National Park. Our mission statement is ‘Shine like stars’ from the Bible book of Philippians and through this, we encourage all of our children to shine like stars in their work, attitude, behaviour and relationships.

The nature of this role will require the successful applicant to demonstrate initiative and creativity to adapt tasks to suit the children’s personal needs, use advanced behaviour management strategies and support pupils’ mental health. In particular, someone who has Key Stage 1 experience and who is confident working on a 1:1 basis to support children with learning difficulties and social communication needs would be ideally suited to the position. 

Grade: 4.
Number of hours: 2 days a week totalling 13.5hrs (days to be decided)
Number of weeks: 39
 

Successful candidates must be able to deliver good teaching and learning to individuals, small groups and work closely with class teachers to enhance all pupils’ social, moral, cultural and spiritual development. This role requires effective communication skills, excellent teamwork skills and high expectations and standards for attainment, achievement and behaviour. The successful candidate is expected to be committed to all aspects of school life and support the Christian ethos of the school.

 

Wincle C of E (A) Primary School is committed to safeguarding children and young people therefore all post holders are subject to appropriate vetting procedure. Appointment is subject to the completion of pre-employment checks which will include References (which will be taken up prior to interview), Health, Right to Work in the UK, DBS and a Declaration with regard to the Disqualification by Association Regulations.

Temporary EYFS Practitioner for October 2022 to cover a six month maternity leave

Twincle Pre-School is a vibrant and welcoming setting based in the rural village of Wincle. Due to a member of staff going on Maternity Leave, the trustees of the pre-school are looking to recruit a dedicated nursery practitioner who will support and work with the nursery supervisor.

We are looking for an individual who can display an excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, and who has experience of planning and assessing for key children. The successful applicant will be hardworking, conscientious and trustworthy.

We require a Nursery Practitioner for five days a week from Monday 3rd October for approximately 6 months. Hours of work will be from 8.45am to 3.15pm (39 weeks per year at £9.50 an hour).
